Intel alder lake-s: 16 cores, 125 tdp
Table of contents:
We have news of the ARM big.LITTLE architecture designed for laptops. This could be used on desktops with Intel Alder Lake-S.
Lately, it seems like we know a lot about Intel's plans, but then we realize that we don't know that much. Now, the news is focused on the big.LITTLE architecture, which could be used for desktop chips, even if it was designed for laptops. Intel Alder Lake-S is a rumor itself, as are the sockets to be used. We have a lot to tell you. Ready?
Intel Alder Lake-S with 16 cores
Originally, big.LITTLE was an architecture focused on Intel notebooks with the aim of saving battery power. It was characterized by smaller cores that would only be used in certain workloads. According to certain leaks, Intel plans to integrate this platform into the desktop chips.
We assure this given the TDP of the future Intel Alder Lake-S chips, since it seems unthinkable that a laptop processor has a TDP of 125W. We also see the possible name of the future socket: the LGA 1700, which will accompany this generation of processors. This makes us think that LGA1200 would be used for Comet Lake S and Rocket Lake S, that is, the 10th generation and 11th generation of processors.
If you look at the table, it seems that they are developing a performance option that would have a TDP of 150W. There is no doubt that this chip would have a very high frequency and that it would be the most powerful option in this range of processors.
The sums of numbers that we see in parentheses make it clear that they are nuclei, classified into large and small. Hence, it is thought that it would be the ARM architecture of big.LITTLE. Specifically, we see two models that would equip 16 cores: 8 small and 8 large.
DDR5? PCIe 4.0?
This supposed 12th generation of processors unleashes a thousand rumors per second. Firstly, it is believed that they would support PCI-Express 4.0. On the other hand, there is no information that confirms that this platform will support DDR5, something that will not be long in coming. In theory, they would be 10nm processors, but this is difficult to confirm seen with Intel.

Do you think we will see 16-core chips in this range? Do you expect great performance?

AMD launches its cheapest 8-core FX processor so far, the FX 8310 with an aggressive $ 125 price tag and 95W TDP.
What are the cores of a processor? and the logical threads or cores?
We explain that they are the cores of a processor. The difference between one physical and another logical and if it really is worth it.
Intel alder lake
We get new leaks about Intel Alder Lake-S, the next Intel platform. Will we have 10nm and LGA1700 socket? We see it inside.
