The big day has arrived! Since Computex 2014, Intel has announced the launch of its new range of Haswell Refresh teachers with unlocked multiplier ("K" versions): Devil's Canyon i5-4690K and i7-4790K.

The i7-4790k is the 4-core model with HyperThreading technology (8 threads of execution) that will come with a base clock of 4000 Mhz, which will go up through turbo to 4400 Mhz, 8MB of L3 cache, integrated Intel HD4600 and dual graphics channel DDR3 and a higher capacity TDP.

While the i5-4690K has four processors (without HyperThreading), a base clock of 3500 Mhz, and a boost of 3900 mhz. It incorporates a 6MB L3 cache, an integrated Intel HD4600 graphics and dual channel DDR3. The limits of the overclocking are still in the air, but everything indicates that the processor will not be soldered, but will use a new thermal compound that promises to improve temperatures.

Price and availability.

The first samples (samples) will arrive for the media during this week and it is estimated that their commercialization in store will be around June 25. In this case, we will have to have a little patience, although it is a better date than the leaks made by some media that would arrive in September or at the end of the year!

The price of the estimated i5-4690k is € 200 while the i7-4690k is € 300.
