These new Intel SSDs with QLC memories are based on a 15-inch-thick 2.5-inch form factor with a U.2 interface. This new unit is built to the rigors of "hot storage."

Intel will not be the first to put a QLC SSD on the market, this honor belongs to Micron, who in May announced the Micron 5210 ION, which is surely based on the same QLC memory chips.
