Intel dg1: dedicated 10nm chart confirmed for 2020
Intel plans to release up to 9 models of 10nm graphics cards with Xe architecture, among them the most imminent is the Intel DG1. After 22 years of inactivity of the blue brand in the field of dedicated graphics cards, the successor to the emblematic Intel i740 will see the light this year. We tell you more about its characteristics and performance.
This Xe architecture says already present in processors like the Intel Core i7-1065G7 Tiger Lake-U. A CPU with integrated graphics Iris Plus 11th generation working at 1.1 GHz. This implies that this dedicated GPU version would be 36% faster input . Presumably its performance would be comparable to an Nvidia GTX 950, which in turn is 15% less than that of a GTX 1050 with Pascal architecture.
It would therefore be a GPU located in the input range or mid-range. Despite being a rather low performance for gaming, they are interesting figures in the sense of efficiency. Let's take into account that the chipset of a GTX 950 at 28nm has a TDP of 95W, while that of a GTX 1050 at 16nm is 75W. This gives Intel high hopes with its 10nm process and excellent performance / consumption ratio, of course it will have to be seen what manufacturers like Nvidia do in their new Ampere architecture.
In addition to the Intel DG1, the blue brand also plans to manufacture the DG2, a GPU possibly built on a 7nm TSMC process that would rank high-performance and therefore high-end.

No further information has been given in this regard, so we have to wait for new leaks from the managers and the media closest to the brand. Do you think Intel will manufacture a gaming GPU worthy of the high-end?
