Intel would integrate amd radeon graphics in its processors

The rivalry between AMD and Intel could turn out to be a major turnaround in the coming year. A strong rumor indicates that Intel could liquidate its integrated graphics division to use AMD's Radeons.

Radeon graphics on Intel processors could be a reality

The rumor echoed by the folks at Techspot indicates that Intel and AMD are about to team up to integrate Radeon graphics into upcoming Intel microprocessors.

As is known, AMD acquired ATI a few years ago but now the rumor suggests that it could be separated from AMD again. Intel would take advantage of this situation to cede the manufacturing of the graphics to ATI and as a subsidiary company, so it is possible that the next graphics cards will be ' ATI Radeon ' again.

A few months ago, Intel itself commented that it was going to lay off more than 12, 000 employees, due to the decrease in sales in the PC market, of which 1, 000 are graphic engineers.

Currently the integrated graphics of AMD ' Radeon ' are superior to those offered by Intel and it has been practically like this forever. If this agreement were to occur, Intel processors would make a small leap in quality in terms of their integrated graphics and for AMD (or ATI) it would be a business to locate their Radeon in the best-selling processors worldwide.
