Everything indicated that the Intel Whiskey Lake processors would be announced as soon as this summer of 2018, although it is possible that the bear's skin was sold before hunting it. According to slides published by Xfastest, this new series with 8-core processors from Intel for the LGA 1151 platform will not be available until next year.

Intel Core i9 9900K Whiskey Lake would not arrive until next year according to leaked devices

The leaked images are up-to-date and credible, although there is no certainty that they are real, nor is there any of the previous leaks of the new Intel processors. If they are finally confirmed to be real, the Core i7-8700K will be the flagship model until next year, with nothing new until the first quarter of 2019.

We recommend reading our post on Intel Core i9 9900K Whiskey Lake will arrive on August 1 with the IHS soldier

The slides also confirm that even H310 motherboards will support 8-core processors, which may be surprising considering that Intel was not so keen on allowing Z170 / 270 users to benefit from the move to 6-core with Coffee Lake processors.

If this is true, Intel will have to continue with its current processors until the beginning of next year, when the third generation Ryzen from AMD should also arrive, manufactured in 7 nm and that could put in serious trouble an Intel incapable of operating adequately its manufacturing process at 10 nm.

It seems that we will still have to wait to see if the new Core 9000 processors of the Whiskey Lake family are finally announced or not, of which many things have been read lately, but none of them officially confirmed by Intel. When do you think the Intel Core 9000 will arrive?
