Intel has a new processor oriented to servers and workstations that augurs enormous computing power with its 18 physical cores and 36 processing threads.
The new Intel Xeon E7 v3 Haswell-EX processor has a total of 18 physical cores representing 36 processing threads thanks to HT technology. The rest of the features are completed with 45 MB of cache and an integrated DDR4 memory controller.
The new Xeon E7 v3 Haswell-EX processor is manufactured under a 22nm Tri-Gate process and features 5.56 billion transistors making it one of the most complex x86 chips ever created.
