Intel has launched has launched a new line of processors geared towards servers and workstations, among them is the new Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 known by its code name Haswell-EP.
This Intel Xeon processor belongs to the Intel processors that will be able to work in a multi-socket infrastructure to achieve a high level of processing, it will use the new socket LGA 2011-v3 or R3 so it will be accompanied with the new DDR4 RAM memory via connection Quad Channel. This new processor created by Intel has 18 cores that together with HyperThreading technology allows the CPU to have 36 accessible threads, almost nothing. The cores are accompanied by a large 45MB L3 cache memory.
Its construction in 22nm together with Tri-Gate technology make the processor a CPU with great energy efficiency, each core will have its own power state and its consumption will be dynamically regulated according to the performance that each core needs, so that if a core that is just working is not being supplied in the same way as a core that is being used intensively.
