Intel already has the new firmware for specter and meltdown

We continue to talk about the Specter and Meltdown vulnerabilities, so far Intel's response to the issue has been pretty lackluster with a firmware mitigation being released quickly and with some major bugs, which ended up causing reboot loops for client companies and retailers. More than a month later, Intel has announced a new version of the mitigating firmware for the 6th, 7th, and 8th generation processors - that is, from Skylake onwards.
Inte has the new mitigator firmware for Specter and Meltdown ready
This new update will allow motherboard manufacturers to finally release new BIOS versions to address some of the security issues raised by Specter, though users of previous Intel platforms will have to wait for new firmware updates to be released. You can see an updated schedule, where Intel confirms that the firmware updates for Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Haswell and Broadwell are already in beta.

Intel first admitted that its original firmware was faulty on January 11 and recommended that customers stop using its update on all platforms on January 22. Starting today, Intel customers should be able to update their systems without fear of trouble, as both Intel and its partners have thoroughly tested this new update. This new firmware version should be available for Skylake and motherboards in the coming days and weeks, as manufacturers update their products with the latest Intel mitigations.
Now the question arises whether this new update will have a greater impact on performance than the previous one or if, on the contrary, there will be no significant changes in this regard.
