Ios 11 is now available for download

Recently, Apple has finally released the final version of iOS 11, which represents the new version of its mobile operating system. Most of the iPhone and iPad models released in recent years will be compatible with iOS 11, so to update you would only have to go to the Terminal Settings panel and then the option to check for Software Updates under the tab General.

For those who were part of a public or developing beta process, they probably already have the final version of iOS 11 on their devices and should not do anything else.

What's new in iOS 11

iOS 11 is a version initially presented during the WWDC event held by Apple last June, and it is the same incremental update that the company brings to its users every year, although this time it comes with some quite new features.

Apart from adding a handful of new features, such as support for augmented reality and a new file management application called Files, iOS 11 also has multiple improvements for the Siri virtual assistant, such as the ability to capture and edit screens, plus more customization options for the Control Center.

For iPads, iOS 11 brings improved support for multitasking, in addition to the possibility of using two applications in split-screen mode, or even having a third row. The new functions related to the drag and drop option are also much more useful, since they allow you to manage the files in the Files application more intuitively and even allow you to drag and drop photos and text messages from one application to another.

Many of these features will need further enhancements and support from third-party developers before they become everyday features for iOS users. But they are important steps to unify Apple's mobile interfaces in all screen sizes and shapes, and above all they will help the company's devices to compete against gadgets with built-in keyboards.
