According to information recently published by the French blog iPhoneSoft, iOS 13 would not be compatible with a wide range of iPhone and iPad devices. If this news is confirmed, it will surely generate enormous discomfort among many users.

iOS 13: leaving behind old devices?

In the article published by the aforementioned French blog, iOS 13 will NOT be compatible with the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone SE. Also, neither the first-generation iPad Air nor the iPad mini 2 would get support for the new version of Apple's mobile operating system.

Despite this information has been rated as "questionable" by some other specialized media such as MacRumors, the truth is that users of any of the above devices must remain vigilant because, effectively, it is about computers that already have a few years of life that could make Apple finally make this questionable decision.

On the other hand, it is not the first time so far this year that we have received similar information. But still, its reliability is not one hundred percent. Why?

On the one hand, the iPhone SE uses the same A9 chip as the iPhone 6s and the fifth-generation iPad, so it would seem illogical that if the iPhone SE is not compatible with iOS 13, the other two devices remain compatible.

It could be argued that Apple wants to abandon support for iOS devices with 4-inch screens, including the iPhone 5s and iPhone SE, but again from MacRumors they observe some inconsistencies to this argument since the sixth generation iPod touch will supposedly run iOS 13.

On the other hand, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in particular were tremendously popular devices that are probably still in the hands of many millions of customers. For its part, the iPhone SE was launched a little over three years ago, in March 2016, for which it does not seem logical that Apple leaves it aside from iOS 13.
