Iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus

The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, 4.7 and 5.5 inches respectively, are the answer to a market reality: users want bigger screens, and now they can have them without giving up iOS, the App Store and everything the rest of the incentives of the apple ecosystem.

Chipset:

The A8 chip manufactured at 20nm is presented in both phones with an increase in power of 25% and 50% more graphic capacity, but the most relevant data is its energy efficiency. The iPhone 6 is 50% more efficient despite the improvement in performance, which translates into 10 hours more autonomy than the iPhone 5s playing audio in the case of the iPhone 6 and double (80 vs. 40) in the iPhone 6 Plus. Autonomy sailing goes from 10 hours to 11 and 12, calling from 10 to 14 and 24.

Inside, the M8 coprocessor constantly monitors data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, to which a barometer is now also added to calculate air pressure and our relative elevation. Data that can be used in the Health app and other fitness apps to obtain a more accurate image of the physical activity we are developing.

Design:

The iPhone 6 looks like its 4.7-inch IPS screen arrives with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels resulting in 326 ppi coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Regarding storage we will find four variants in capacities of 16, 32, 64 and 128 GB not expandable. As for connectivity, it has WiFi 802.11ac, 4G LTE Cat.6, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS and GLONASS connectivity. It has a 1810 mAh battery.

The new chassis features curved edges and is made of anodized aluminum and will not be waterproof like its direct competitors. It has dimensions of 137.5 x 67 x 6.9 mm and a weight of 113 grams. The famous apple present on the chassis is made of steel.

For its part, the iPhone 6 plus grows in size up to about 5.5 inches with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels giving 401 ppi. The chassis differs little from the iPhone 6, except for the increase in its dimensions reaching 7.1 mm in thickness giving extra space that allows you to add a higher capacity battery.

The 5.5 inches of the iPhone 6 Plus make it a kind of iPad Ultra Mini, and perhaps that is why Apple has decided to enable many of the features that iOS presents in its version for tablets also in this particular model such as the landscape view of the start screen and all the standard apps like Messages and Mail with the side panel displayed.

Camera:

Moving on to the camera, we come across an iSight camera with a new faster-focus 8MP sensor, f / 2.2 aperture, Focus Pixel technology to determine the direction of focus and how far the lens should move, noise reduction and Enhanced face detection, local tone mapping, and optical image stabilization. Burst shooting mode will detect smiles and people with closed eyes to recommend the best image. The iPhone 6 is capable of up to 240 fps. The icing on the cake is continuous focus, cinematic video stabilization and time-lapse videos that are all the rage these days thanks to apps like Hyperlapse.

On the other hand, the new 2.1 MP FaceTime HD is also updated with a brighter sensor and an f / 2.2 aperture that capture 80% more light. It features improved face detection for selfies and group selfies and the new burst mode of 10 photos per second.

They will arrive in stores in Spain on September 26, the iPhone 6 will start from 699 euros while the iPhone 6 Plus will start from 799 euros.
