KDE Akonadi already offers partial support for Microsoft Exchange
This new solution provides the possibility to connect to a Microsoft Exchange account using the native protocol, the same one used in Microsoft Outlook, so it is the best solution to obtain the majority of Exchange features for KDE PIM users. .
For now, support is focused on the mail service to allow users to send and receive emails through Exchange, fully manage the inbox and store Akonadi tags in the Exchange metadata. Among the most significant limitations we find that, for now, it only allows consulting the calendar and the personal agenda without being able to make changes, the tasks are not supported either. The goal for the next version is to offer full calendar and task support.
