DebEX KDE Live Linux 160604 now based on Debian 8.4 Jessie

DebEX KDE Live Linux is a new Live-style distro based on the popular Debian and using the KDE desktop. The new version DebEX KDE Live Linux 160604 is now based on the new Debian GNU / Linux 8.4 Jessie repositories, a step forward for this distro although it is not 100% updated due to the release of Debian 8.5.

Despite the last thing we discussed, the advantage of this update will come from the hand of KDE Software Compilation 4.14.2 and KDE Plasma 5, which ensure a good renovation of the very versatile and much more complete work desktop than in previous versions. In addition , the new Linux Kernel 4.6.1-debex was added, based on the recent Kernel 4.6.1 with some modifications that Arne Exton has taken the liberty of implementing, so we would be talking about a "custom" Kernel.

KDE Plasma 5 integrates with DebEX KDE Live Linux 160604

One aspect that can positively influence graphics performance is that the DebEX KDE Live DVD 160604 comes with the new Nvidia 361.45.11 drivers and also the new version of Google Chrome is optimized for Netflix content playback without many drawbacks. Arne Exton considered the SMPlayer to be the default video player for this distro.
