Gone is the time when you had to spend more than 100 euros if you wanted a good quality mechanical keyboard. Unboxing and design

The Klim Domination is committed to a simple presentation that allows the manufacturer to save on costs and therefore offer a product with a relationship between quality and price that is much more attractive to the end user. We see that the keyboard is presented inside a black cardboard box in which the brand logo hardly stands out. This box has a small sliding cover with a more colorful design showing a keyboard image and pointing out its most important features in various languages, including Spanish.

We open the box and we find the keyboard perfectly accommodated by two pieces of foam and covered by a bag to prevent it from moving during transport and damaging its delicate surface. Next to the keyboard we find a user manual and a card that informs us about the Klim beta tester program, we will talk about this at the end of the review to give you more details on how to participate if you are interested in trying their products.

We see a close-up image of the Klim Domination, as you can see it is a full-format keyboard, that is, it includes the number block on the right so it will be perfect for accountants and other users who have to make use of it intensive numeric keypad. The characters are not very marked on the keys, which means that the intensity of the lighting is higher for a more attractive appearance and, above all, that we see them better in low light conditions. A peculiarity of the keys of this Klim Domination is that they are covered with rubber to provide an excellent touch feeling and to be more comfortable when typing during long sessions of use.

Klim Domination is built with a black ABS plastic chassis that looks quite sober yet elegant. The keyboard measures 522 mm x 204 mm x 50 mm and weighs 1.5 kg. Its design is quite compact although it is not the one that best takes advantage of its size since we can see that the frames are larger than in some other keyboards that we have seen that achieved a more compact final finish. Inside the Klim Domination there is a SECC steel plate that gives it greater robustness and is responsible for the high weight of the keyboard.

If we lift one of the keys right away we see that we are dealing with blue mechanical switches, something that was already known in advance due to the characteristic metallic sound that occurs when the keys are pressed. Specifically, it is the Outemu Blue of good quality and especially designed for writing large amounts of text every day.

The main characteristic of this type of mechanisms is that they provide both tactile and audible feedback with each key press. They are very soft mechanisms in the first half of their journey while in the second part they become harder. This is due to the fact that they have two parts, making it very comfortable to write large amounts of text without feeling tired.

If we focus on the technical characteristics of the Outemu Blue, these are non-linear mechanisms with an activation path of 2.1 mm, a maximum travel of 4 mm and an activation force of 60 grams. Its durability is 60 million clicks guaranteed, making it a keyboard designed to last for many years and will ultimately be an excellent investment like all mechanical keyboards.

Klim Domination has a complete RGB LED lighting system that will allow each user to give their personal touch so that they look unique and unsurpassed on the desktop. The keyboard does not have software so all the lighting management is done through key combinations, this allows faster customization while saving the cost of developing the software, so you can offer a cheaper product. It also saves us the need to have a program installed on our computer running in the background and wasting resources.

The keyboard offers 21 lighting effects so that we can choose the one that we like the most, each of the colors and effects can be adjusted at various levels of speed, lighting intensity and even the direction of the light effect. As if that were not enough, a highly customizable mode has been included that allows you to choose the lighting of each key individually among 8 different colors.

In the back we find two plastic legs with a folding design, this allows us to slightly lift the keyboard for greater comfort of use if we wish.

Final words and conclusion about Klim Domination

Klim Domination is a keyboard that comes with the promise of offering an excellent keyboard for a very tight sale price, in addition to the distribution of keys in Spanish so that few problems can be put a priori. The choice of Outemu mechanisms guarantees a good level of quality although they obviously are not up to the standards of the Cherry MX, whose implementation would have made the keyboard much more expensive, it must be said. These Outemu Blue we have already seen them many times on other keyboards and they always meet perfectly, they are a safe bet.

The overall design of the keyboard is very correct although its wedge shape should be somewhat more pronounced to improve ergonomics, not that it is bad but it is something to improve in the face of new versions. Something that I personally did not like is that the keyboard is higher than I am used to, this makes the position of the hands a little different and it is something that you have to get used to to feel comfortable typing.

Beyond that we can not fault any keyboard like this whose sale price is approximately 60 euros, one of the best options if you are looking for a mechanical keyboard is Spanish and of good quality.
