We return with an analysis of the Krom brand, this time we have in hand your Krom Kenon mouse that wants to show us that it is possible to offer a product of high quality and great benefits at a reasonable price. It is a mouse with an ergonomic body, an RGB lighting system, advanced management software and a high-precision optical sensor. What more could you ask for?

First of all, we thank Krom for the trust placed in us when transferring the product to us for analysis.

Krom Kenon technical characteristics

Unboxing and design

The Krom Kenon mouse comes to us in a small cardboard box, as we see in the photos, the colors black and orange predominate. The box has a very good quality print, and details all the most important characteristics of the mouse. When opening it we find a user manual and the mouse itself in a plastic blister.

We are already focused on the Krom Kenon, the mouse has dimensions of 125 x 70 x 43 mm along with a weight of 120 grams, so we are in front of a fairly compact mouse, its successful weight will provide us with a very good balance between precision in movements and speed when sliding it on the surface of our mat. Krom Kenon is based on a symmetrical design that will adapt very well to the right hand. The mouse works with a 1.8 meter cable, twisted for greater resistance and ending in a gold-plated USB connector or for better conservation over time and better contact.

The body of the mouse is mainly made of high quality black plastic, despite this we observe that its sides have a textured finish to improve adherence to the user's hand and prevent it from slipping in sudden movements. The wheel has a typical size, is finished in rubber, and offers excellent performance with very precise movements both on short and long distances.

Accompanying the wheel are two buttons that allow us to adjust the DPI level of the sensor on the fly and at preset values of 1000-1500-2000-3000-4000 DPI to adapt to the preferences of a large number of users. A high DPI value allows us to make a great tour with a very small movement of the mouse so it will be especially suitable for multi-monitor configurations. In contrast, low DPI values will be ideal in games where high precision of movement is required.

Also at the top we find the two main buttons that have Japanese OMRON mechanisms of enormous quality. These buttons are slightly curved to offer a much more comfortable grip and are perfectly accessible to the fingers without any effort.

On the left side we find two programmable buttons that will help us perform tasks such as moving forward and backward in web browsing, it also provides us with two additional controls for our games. They are pleasant to the touch and are quite hard, giving us a good quality feeling that will not break in a short time. The right side is completely free except for the textured finish

On the back we find the logo of the brand that is part of the lighting system as we will see later.

At the bottom we find the AVAGO 3050 sensor with a maximum resolution of 4, 000 DPI, 20G and 60 IPS. It is a modest sensor, but it offers a very good and sufficient pressure for most users. The two large surfers are also appreciated for a perfect glide.

Krom Kenon Software

In order to get the most out of the Krom Kenon mouse we need to install its corresponding software, we can download it from the official website of the manufacturer, once it is downloaded, its installation is extremely easy. This software offers us the possibility of creating up to five different profiles to have our mouse always prepared for different situations of use.

The software allows us to assign the functions that we want to its nine programmable buttons in a very simple and intuitive way. We find multimedia, keyboard, lighting, mouse-specific functions and much more. There is also no need for a handy macro manager, something that will be very useful for the most active gamers.

We continue with the possibility of configuring the mouse lighting in intensity, light effect and the speed of the effects. Being an RGB system we can choose between 16.8 million colors, almost nothing. To finish we find the settings of the mouse sensor, we can configure its five DPI profiles in values ranging from 500 to 4000, always in ranges of 250. We also find the configuration of the precision, the polling rate, the speed of the wheel and double click.

Final words and conclusion about Krom Kenon

Krom Kenon has been shown as a mouse of good quality and great features. A design that feels comfortable in the hand, buttons with OMRON switches, a good quality sensor and very intuitive and complete software. After using the mouse for several hours it can be said that its operation is very pleasant both in basic tasks and in games, the button to adjust the DPI allows us to regulate the speed of the cursor movement to adapt it to our needs and all this in a way very comfortable.

Finally, the movement of the mouse is excellent, getting to work in perfect conditions on various surfaces, although as always, if we want to obtain the best result, the ideal is to use a mat. RGB lighting puts the finishing touch on enhancing aesthetics.

Krom Kenon is for sale for an approximate price of 30 euros. What do you think of this mouse? We believe it is a great option for the cost it has. Good job Krom!
