Google app offers “smart answers” ​​and search trends

The Google iOS app has recently been updated to incorporate two new features such as "smart responses" and search trends based on the user's geographic area before the user begins typing in the search field.

After the update that began to be deployed last Friday, each time that users click on the search box in the Google app for iOS, a drop-down menu will show us the search trends that prevail at that time according to our geographical location. These trends are indicated by the blue arrow icon next to them, thus differing from the gray color with which the user's search history is distinguished.

This new feature already appeared last year for Android devices, however, user complaints made Google make it optional. Now, users of iOS devices can also choose from the Settings section after tapping on their account profile in the upper left of the search interface.

On the other hand, Google has pointed out that the search is now more intelligent since it is often able to show the answer even before the user has finished writing the question. For example, typing “how fast is a gue” will immediately show the speed of a cheetah (110-120 km / h, for anyone who might be interested).

The arrival of these features comes shortly after Google has introduced a new personalized news feed into its application that offers constantly updated information based on the interests and topics in which each user has shown interest.
