The multinational Intel today announced eight new models of 10th generation Intel processors aimed at laptops. They will stand out, mainly, for benefiting parallel work on multiple threads, while allowing fine and light designs without sacrificing battery life.
New 10th generation Intel processors land with relevant enhancements
According to the company itself, the 10th generation Intel will have a considerable performance improvement over their previous generation.
The processors are created with a new micro-architecture that stands out for having 10nm transistors, a considerable improvement compared to its old 14nm models. Not for nothing, they still have a way to go if we compare it with those of just 7nm from the competition.
These new processors bring 6 cores to the U series for the first time. However, other remarkable characteristics of this generation are:
- Higher number of physical cores (up to 6 cores and 12 threads) Higher clock frequencies (up to 4.9 GHz) A good base of Intel Smart Cache (up to 12 MiB) Specialized modes of use (maximum performance at 25W / performance at 4 cores Fanless 4.5W) Faster memory interfaces Support for Wi-Fi technology 6 Wider Thunderbolt 3 range Intel Adaptix and Intel Dynamic Tuning technologies to improve wake-up times and performance in everyday tasks, respectively.
