The evga gtx 970 acx has a small problem with its heatsink
The new EVGA GTX 970 ACX graphics card seems to have a slight downside to its heatsink as one of the heatpipes has been shown not to make good contact with the core.
As you can see in the image, the card heatsink has three heatpipes that are responsible for distributing the heat from the core to the aluminum radiator fins, the drawback is that only two of the three heatpipes make full contact with the GPU. Nvidia GM204 and the third of them barely touches it which could compromise core cooling.
So far no problems have been reported so it seems that with two heatpipes it is enough to dissipate the heat generated by the core, remember that the GM204 is based on Nvidia's Maxwell architecture that is characterized by its low power consumption and So much should not overheat.
