According to a late-breaking report from the WCCFTech portal, it appears that Intel's X299 HEDT platform will be officially announced on May 30 with support for the next generation of Kaby Lake X and Skylake X processors.

Based on the details obtained by the mentioned portal, it seems that Intel is preparing for the launch of its new platform for desktops in a few weeks. Known as X299, the new platform will feature support for the upcoming Skylake X and Kaby Lake X processor families, which will be available in multiple configurations starting June 26.

Intel plans to announce its HEDT X299 platform on May 30 at Computex 2017, as we had already pointed out in a previous article. The presentation will include full details and pricing for the new processors, while Intel's manufacturing partners will also prepare various X299 chipset motherboards for enthusiasts. These personalized motherboards will also be present at Computex 2017.
