The rx 590 based on polaris 30 can go up to 1680 mhz

Although the custom AMD Radeon RX 590 models have started to come out, we are still not 100% sure what the clock speeds of the next GPUs upgrading to a 12nm FinFET node and using the new core will be. Polaris 30, but reliable data is starting to come out.

AMD Radeon RX 590 could reach frequencies of more than 1700 MHz

It seems that the clock speeds of two models of this GPU, both of which would use a factory overclock, have been leaked by the Tum Apisak source.

Summing up the specs we've known so far, AMD's Polaris 30 GPU will be based on a 12nm process node. It is not known whether AMD would use Global Foundries' 12nm processing node or the advanced 12nm TSMC node that is being used to manufacture NVIDIA Turing GPUs. Considering that Polaris GPUs have been introducing a 'Glofo' FinFET process design, it won't be a surprise if AMD ends up using them for the new 12nm node as well.

In terms of specifications, the AMD Polaris 30 GPU would have 2304 Stream Processors, 144 TMU and 32 ROP. VRAM memory includes the same 8GB GDDR5 design, clocked at 8000MHz via a 256-bit bus. Most of the performance benefits would come from the fine-tuning of the architecture achieved by reducing the array to 12nm, but it's not expected to be much more powerful than what we have right now with Polaris 20. The card is expected to RX 590 is in the $ 250-300 price range.

Both PowerColor and XFX will launch their custom models. The Radeon RX 590 Red Devil from PowerColor was leaked a while ago. The model would use a maximum frequency of 1645 MHz, while the custom XFX Radeon RX 590 would use a slightly higher frequency at 1680 MHz. This means that the RX 590 could reach frequencies above 1700 MHz manually.
