It's been around four months since Microsoft officially announced that they were going to buy GitHub. Since this announcement, little has been known about the entire operation. Largely because both companies were waiting to receive the go-ahead on it. Something that has finally happened already this weekend, when the EU has given its approval.

Something that the Anti-competition Commission of the European Union has analyzed in these months since the purchase announcement. Finally, it seems that everything is correct in the operation, and does not imply a violation of any norm.

Therefore, GitHub already officially becomes Microsoft. The purchase has been approved this past Friday by the EU. So in these next days the purchase should be made official by the two companies.
