The first images of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2000 series inside their boxes have been leaked by the people at Videocardz . The next generation of AMD 'HEDT' processors will go on sale shortly and we have already found out the specifications, but today we can take a look at the presentation that these chips will have, in which we can only congratulate AMD.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2000 and its beautiful packaging

When AMD released its first generation of Ryzen Threadripper processors, we were able to see two new things. In the first place, obviously, the processor itself, and, secondly, the magnificent packaging in which the chip was shipped. AMD wants to repeat with the second generation of Threadripper processors, which will now be shipped in a large black box with orange motifs and asymmetric figures, ideal to leave them as an ornament on a shelf.

Like the 32-core giant that will be Threadripper's new flagship, the box or processor package is going to be just as big, too. It's bigger, looks epic, and, like the latest package, comes with a transparent window that reveals the processor on the front. This time, AMD has opted for a more polygonal look that looks impressive.

Given the space inside the box, we can say that apart from the processor, it will be shipped with the manuals and tools necessary to install the chip on the TR4 motherboards.

The new Threadripper 2000 series will be released on August 13 officially and it will do so with two models, the Ryzen Threadripper 2990X (32 cores / 64 threads) and the Ryzen Threadripper 2950X (16 cores / 32 threads).

Compared to the Core i9-7980XE, the Ryzen Threadripper 2990X priced at about $ 1, 500 offers better architecture based on a 12nm process, 14 more cores, 28 more threads and for $ 500 less, as the i9 costs 2, 000 dollars approximately. Compared to the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X, we get 16 more cores, 32 more threads, faster clocks just $ 500 apart.
