Amd navi graphics cards could hold up to 5160 sp

We all have a lot of hope in Navi. It can be said that the Radeon VII was somewhat disappointing in terms of consumption and price, so we are all eagerly awaiting the next generation of AMD in the graphic field.

With its future 7nm graphics cards, AMD will first offer us 256-bit GDDR6 memory, which will undoubtedly increase memory bandwidth by 50-70% compared to the previous generation Polaris 30.

In the previous generation of cards we had 4 Streaming Engines, which could carry a maximum of 10 CUs. A CU equals 64 ROPs, so it gives us 4 x 10 x 64 = 2560 SP. But, the Navi graphics cards would have 8 Streaming Engines.

AMD could simply offer 8 Streaming Engines, which initially would have 4-5 CU for the RX 3070 and RX 3080, i.e. 2048 and 2560 SP. And if we extrapolate a little, we can easily say that AMD could be able to set 10 CUs by Streaming Engines as in the previous cards, so we could get to see a 5120 SP graphics card, perhaps for the RX 3090 XT.

AMD's decision to go with 8 Streaming Engines raises hopes that the company will double ROP counts above "Polaris, " to 64, by packaging two shadow engine rendering backends.

We'll see if this is really the case when AMD introduces the Navi graphics cards in its Computex opening speech on May 27, followed by a possible launch in early July. We will keep you informed.
