The SSD drive market has experienced significant growth in recent years, to the point that several new manufacturers have entered that field, such as Gigabyte and Seagate . Now it's Lexar's turn, which has introduced the NS100 and NS200 SSDs.

Lexar NS100 and NS200 series arrive to meet growing demand for SSD drives

Lexar has entered the SSD market, launching its new series of NS100 and NS200 drives, both of which are designed to offer users faster boot times, extreme data transfer speeds, and shorter application load times.

The NS100 is designed to be an 'off-road' SSD at an affordable price, offering capacities of 120GB, 240GB and 480GB for $ 29.99, $ 49.99 and $ 89.99 respectively, offering sequential read speeds up to 520 MB / s for 120/240 GB models and 550 MB / s for 480 GB model. Strangely, Lexar has not released sequential write speed or IOPS data for its NS100 series units.

The Lexar NS200 drive comes in a black case and capacities range from 240GB to 480GB, with higher levels of SATA 3.0 performance. The NS200 will offer sequential read / write speeds of 550 / 510MB / s and 95 / 90K read / write IOPS respectively. These speeds apply to both the 240GB and 480GB models. The NS200 will cost $ 79.99 and $ 109.99 respectively.

Both series carry a three-year limited warranty. This warranty will last until your TBW (Terabyte Disk Writes) limits are exceeded, or until the warranty period ends, whichever comes first. For 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB drives, the TBW limits are 60TB, 120TB, and 240TB respectively, equivalent to about 500 full drive writes.
