The Dutch company Philips has decided to join the wild market for gaming peripherals in the West . To do this, it has made an agreement with 3B Tech , with which they plan to launch a series of products under the name of Philips . At the moment, it appears that the company will only sell these peripherals in the United States .

Philips storms the western gaming market with new keyboards and mice

Although Philips had already started this crusade on Chinese soil, it has now decided to get wet and try the American market.

Currently, in Amazon United States , we can find up to 13 peripherals under the company name. Some of them come with mechanical switches and RGB backlight , peculiar features for low product prices.

These gaming peripherals aim to offer good build quality without resorting to being too expensive for the general public.

The most remarkable case of this are its two most striking models: the SPK8614 keyboard and the SPK9413 mouse.

The keyboard has custom switches with a touch similar to Cherry MX Blue (we do not know if they are created by Philips or an affiliated company) . These unique switches feature a 2mm actuation distance and about 60g of force to activate. Other characteristics to highlight are:

  • A removable wrist rest Ambiglow Chroma FX RGB backlight Multimedia control Aluminum body

And best of all, it's around $ 45 USD.

On the other hand, the Philips gaming mouse is certainly similar in design to the Razer DeathAdder . However, it has considerably worse characteristics .

For around $ 17 USD we have an optical sensor mouse that reaches up to 2, 400 DPI. Unfortunately, its refresh rate only reaches 500 Hz , although on the plus side we have six programmable buttons and quite a few areas with RGB lighting .

As a curiosity, these peripherals have been created in China by the company Shenzhen Youyuan Hongye Electronics .

Now tell us yourself: what do you think of these two peripherals? Would you buy any of these products? Share your ideas in the comments.
