New patent
The design of this LG phone would be similar to that of the Huawei Mate X. The way it is folded is identical, as you can see. In this case, four cameras would be used in the phone, as can be seen in the photos. The screen could be folded in half, leaving two screens, which we assume can be used at all times normally if you want.
Foldable phones have been making headlines for months, although their progress is slow. Problems with existing models have made some of the excitement go away. So we'll see if they really end up being a success.
Brands like LG have already made it clear that they would only launch folding phones if there is success and interest among users. So if models like the Motorola Razr or Galaxy Fold do not have the expected reception, other brands are unlikely to take the risk of launching their own folding phones to the market.
