With the launch of the new models of the iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inches, which come accompanied by the second generation of Apple Pencil, there has also been a wave of application updates, with more interesting ones adding support for the use of the new features of Apple Pencil 2, such as Adobe Lightroom.

Lightroom takes advantage of Apple Pencil 2

Just a few days ago, Adobe officially launched a new update to its Lightroom app for iOS devices. This latest version adds support for the new iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR, as well as for the new iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inches of 2018 and, of course, for the recently released Apple Pencil 2, and despite how brief is the update tab published in the App Store:

As I said, for users the most important and expected novelty is the introduction of support for the second generation of Apple Pencil, while this accessory offers new features and functions that streamline and improve many editing tasks, as we saw with the GoodNotes case.

With Adobe Lightroom version 4.0.2 it is possible to use the double tap function to switch between tools just by double-tapping on the Pencil. In this way, you can quickly switch by double-tapping the pen between paint modes, clear a selection, and more.

Adobe Lightroom for iOS is designed to work in conjunction with the Lightroom CC app for Mac, but can also be used independently. It is a free download and use app, although it requires a subscription to unlock cloud storage and all the app's features.
