The AMDGPU graphics controller files have shown that Sunnyvale's are working on a new graphics core within the Polaris family, we are talking about the Polaris 12 chip that would come to offer an extremely energy efficient solution.
Polaris 12 on the way, new integrated graphics solution?
The PCI-IDs 0x6980, 0x6981, 0x6985, 0x6986, 0x6987, and 0x699F files for the AMDGPU driver kernel reference the Polaris 12 architecture, a complete unknown to this day from which it appears that AMD is working on the smaller kernel based on the fourth generation GCN architecture.
If we consider that Polaris 11 is smaller than Polaris 10, the new Polaris 12 should be the smallest of the three. This new solution would be focused on offering an alternative that competes with Intel's integrated graphics. Another possibility is that it is a revision of the current Polaris 10 or Polaris 11 to improve its characteristics, mainly energy efficiency, which remains the main weak point of AMD today.
