GoPro, absolute benchmark in the development of sports cameras, has announced its new GoPro Hero 5 unit that comes in two different models with the most advanced features and demanded by users.
GoPro Hero 5: features, availability and price
The GoPro Hero 5 Black and Session are the two announced units. The first of them is the new top of the range and includes such interesting features as a higher manufacturing quality and a touch screen, on the other hand the Session is more compact and more cubic. Either way, both versions have water resistance and are capable of recognizing the voice in seven languages for various control actions such as starting or pausing recording.
The differences between the GoPro Hero 5 Black and Session go further since the first is capable of taking photos up to 12 MP in RAW format, the Session is content to do it at 10 MP and without RAW. The Black model also includes a GPS chip that will be especially useful for the more adventurous. The two units can record video at 4K, 2K and FullHD resolutions with respective framerates of 30 FPS, 60 FPS and 120 FPS to perfectly adapt to the needs of all users. We find image stabilization systems to achieve videos of much better visual quality.
Finally we highlight the GoPro Plus payment service with which we can automatically store our photos and videos in the cloud when connecting to a WiFi network. The GoPro Hero 5 Black is priced at 430 euros and the GoPro Hero 5 Session at 330 euros, both will arrive on October 2.
