Google Pixel 3A XL
Google has launched two other new variants of its cheaper Pixel range, although with truly interesting things, or rather, with things that remain with respect to its older brother. And starting with the design, we do not have great news, a normal design and, yes, with plastic finishes on the back, which makes the weight drop to 167 grams.
But the measurements are still quite considerable, with 160 x 76 x 8.2 mm if we consider that its screen is 6 inches. And it is that the frames are quite considerable, obtaining a screen ratio of 76%. Speaking a little more about it, we have an OLED panel with FHD + resolution of 2160x1080p without notch.
Before arriving at the photographic section we are going to talk a bit about the hardware, we have Snapdragon 670 next to Adreno 615. It is a good choice, but there are cheaper models on the market that are more powerful. We have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space without SD expansion, this really contrasts with the choice of CPU. Its battery is 3700 mAh with 18W fast charge.
Surely the photographic section is the most remarkable of all, since with a single rear camera you can do wonders. We have a single 12.2 MP Sony rear sensor , the same as the Pixel 3, with 1.8 focal length capable of taking photos at the level of the best, even exceeding them, thanks to excellent software. An incredible range of color, naturalness and capable of taking good photos in almost any condition, it is undoubtedly the great asset of this mobile. We also have an 8 MP front camera with 2.0 focal length with a great portrait mode, although without reaching the level of the rear sensor, which is one of the best modes on the market. The only thing we lose from the top model is facial recognition.
In this mid-range, the fingerprint reader is kept at the rear and we also retrieve the 3.5 mm Jack connector and the frames press them to remove the drop-down menus. We do not have expandable storage or FM radio, but we do have a USB Type-C connection.
- 6-inch 2, 160 x 1, 080p AMOLED display Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 RAM processor and 4GB and 64GB storage Pixel 3 camera, unbeatable 3700mAh battery with 18W fast charge
- Without facial recognition Plastic finishes Non-expandable memory Without notch and low screen ratio
We leave the Amazon link, but in Google Store it is where you can buy it at the cheapest price.

And we also have to put the small version of the Pixel 3A XL, that is, the 3A to dry. In this model we are going to go faster, since it does not change too much compared to its XL version, since it is only a smaller mobile. As for other design, it has the same type of manufacturing, plastic materials along with a screen without a notch and a fairly traditional style.
Undoubtedly, the differential aspect lies in the screen, which in this case has a 5.6-inch diagonal with OLED technology and a FHD + resolution of 2220x1080p, having a usage ratio of 75%. It is a screen of great image quality and is aimed at users who want a smaller and more manageable terminal. The weight is only 147 grams and its battery drops considerably, with about 3000 mAh and fast charging of 18W.
Now let's go to the common aspects, and the first of them is the hardware section, keeping the Snapdragon 670, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Similarly, the camera section, and this is important, also remains exactly the same.
That is extremely positive, since we have a small terminal with the same photographic capacity as the high-end Pixels. This has been Google's commitment to give the user a much cheaper mobile, with a smaller screen, but the same camera.
- 5.6-inch 2, 220 x 1, 080p AMOLED display Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 RAM processor and 4GB and 64GB storage Pixel 3 camera, unbeatable 3000mAh battery with 18W fast charge
- Without facial recognition Plastic finishes Non-expandable memory Without notch and low screen ratio

Google Pixel 3a 14.2 cm (5.6 ") 4 GB 64 GB 4G Black 3000 mAh - Smartphone (14.2 cm (5.6"), 4 GB, 64 GB, 12.2 MP, Android 9.0, Black) Pixel 3a 64gb, handy just black, android 9.0 (foot) 398.11 EURHonor View 20
We now continue with this Honor terminal that has earned on its own merit being one of the best in the mid-range or premium medium range. Starting with the design, we have measures of 75.4x157x8.1 mm with a weight of 180 g, with glass finishes on the back and metal on the edges available in blue, black and red with a very “V” effect. striking. But the most interesting thing is that we do not have a traditional notch, but a hole in the screen, increasing the useful surface to 85%.
The screen that has been mounted is 6.4 inches with FHD + resolution and in this case IPS LCD technology, so the color coverage will not be as wide as the high range and neither will the pixel density. This hole for the front camera is located at the top left in a discreet and original way. For connectivity we have the presence of USB-C below and 3.5mm Jack above. All this is accompanied by a high-performance rear footprint sensor.
We now continue with the hardware, which in this model we have a KIRIN 980 logically manufactured by Huawei with 8 cores and Mali G76 GPU. Along with them, a configuration of 6 and 8 GB of RAM, with 128 or 256 GB of storage, so the power of this device are already big words. Its battery is 4000 mAh with 10W fast charge lasting about two days with medium use.
The system that implements from the factory is Android 9, although there is already an update to version 10. The layer used is Magic UI 2.0, being a variant of Huawei's own layer. And last but not least, the cameras, of which we have a double rear sensor: a main 48 MP Sony IMX586 and a ToF 3D depth sensor, and at the front a 25 MP sensor. The overall performance is very good in good lighting conditions, although it does undergo processing in difficult conditions and portrait mode. It also records in 4K @ 30 FPS and has interesting effects in real time thanks to the ToF sensor.
- IPS screen 6.4 inches 2310 x 1080 pixels KIRIN 980 Octa-core processor with 6/8 GB of RAM 128/256 GB storage Good and interesting camera performance ToF sensor for depth and effects 4000 mAh battery Update to Android 10 Aesthetic design with glass and metal
- Non-expandable storage Discrete fast charging Little versatility in the cameras Without IPx protection
Honor 9X
After seeing the View 20, we also have a mid-range par excellence such as the Honor 9X that still has a lot to say in a price range of between 250-300 euros. The manufacturer opted for a pop-up front camera to compete with the Mi 9T, which makes us have an "all screen". Of course, the mechanical system is a little slow, and we do not have facial recognition perhaps for this reason. The finishes are in metal, specifically an aluminum alloy in black and blue with an "X" effect when it reflects light.
It's a fairly large phone, measuring 77.2x163x8.8mm weighing 206g, due in part to its large 6.59-inch screen with IPS technology. In it we have an FHD + resolution of 2340x1080p and without notch. To this we add the presence of a 3.5 mm jack on the bottom and a traditional fingerprint sensor on the back. Inside we have Android 9.0 with the Magic UI 2.0 layer, although it seems that very soon they will receive the update to Andorid 10 and Magi UI 3.0.
So we come to the hardware section, where honor has introduced a KIRIN 710F Octa-core processor with Mali-G51 GPU and configurations of 4 or 6 GB of RAM with 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage which we can expand with MicroSD. With this hardware the autonomy will be very good as can be expected, thanks to 4000 mAh, although its fast charge is 10W. Something that has been suppressed is the NFC, something that we must assume for a "cheap" mid-range.
The performance in photography also seems good to us for its price in versatility. So we have a 48MP Sony IMX582 main sensor, an 8MP wide angle and a third depth sensor for 2MP portrait mode. It is true that it does not exceed some competitors such as the Mi 9T or the Realme, but a triple camera is appreciated. For Selfi we have a 16 MP sensor with 2.2 focal length. Finally it supports recording in Full HD, but not 4K.
- IPS screen 6.59 inches 2340 x 1080 pixels without notch KIRIN 710F Octa-core processor with 4/6 GB of RAM 64/128 GB storage expandable Long- lasting 4000 mAh battery Upgrading to Android 10 imminent Bold aesthetic design Jack of 3, 5 mm and 48 MP main camera
- Somewhat slow Pop-up system 10W fast charge Photo quality below its competition No IPx protection Does not record in 4K The Chinese version has KIRIN 810
Huawei P30 Lite
This P30 Lite is also an excellent phone for the mid-range, which is currently at very tight prices and even less than 200 euros. Its design is clearly inspired by its older brothers and direct competition, seen in a blue-purple gradient or standard black or white version. The finishes are aluminum and glass, rear fingerprint reader, drop type notch and measures 72.7 × 152.9 × 7.4 mm weighing 159 g only.
It is a not too big mobile that comes with a 6.15 screen with IPS technology and 2310x1080p resolution and a density of 415 dpi that is not bad. Its drop type notch houses the 32.3 MP front camera with facial gathering and great photography and detail features. The surface of use is 84% without IPX resistance, something that the older brothers do. The good thing is that we have USB-C, 3.5mm Jack and memory expansion with MicroSD card
We got to the hardware, and here we find a KIRIN 710 Octa-core at 2.2 GHz and 4 or 6 GB of RAM memory along with 128 GB of expandable storage as we say. The truth is that for this price they are very good benefits, being similar to the performance of the Sanpdragon 730. The battery it installs is 3340 mAh with fast charging of 18W and with wireless charging. Here there is tough competition, and many of the models we see already have 4, 000 mAh, and this one falls a little behind.
Regarding the camera section, it was one of the first mid-range terminals with triple rear camera with a configuration of: 24 MP main camera, 8 MP and 120 ° wide angle, and depth sensor for portrait mode of 2 MP. We do not have problems in favorable conditions, although it costs a little more at night and in portrait mode, it only lacks the telephoto lens to round out its versatility. With it we can record in 1080 @ 60 FPS but not in 4K. From the factory it runs on Android 9.0 and EMUI 9, with an update to Android 10 and EMUI 10.
- IPS screen 6.15 inches 2310 x 1080 pixels KIRIN 710 Octa-core processor with 4/6 GB of RAM Expandable 128 GB storage MicroSD 3340 mAh battery with 18W fast charge Upgrade to Android 10 Built in metal and glass Good versatility in camera and with good results
- Slightly less autonomy than its competitors No IPx protection Does not record in 4K
Motorola Moto G8 Plus
Motorola needs to be the manufacturer it was, as the Chinese are hitting the mid-range very hard. Less than 10 months has taken to update your Moto G7 to Moto G8 and it is one of the few feasible alternatives along with Samsung to the Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc. As for design, it is continuous with respect to the G7, although now we have it in blue and red, very elegant and using metal and glass with splash resistance.
On its front we have of course a drop type notch that ensures a useful area of 82%, keeping the fingerprint reader in the back with excellent speed and reliability. Its measurements are 75.8 × 158.4 × 9.1 mm weighing 188 g. The screen for its part is IPS technology with 6.3 inches and 2280 x 1280p resolution with scratch resistance and a good brightness and color scheme. Something curious and interesting is that the manufacturer has introduced a double stereo speaker system with Dolby Audio of good quality and volume, and there is also a 3.5 mm Jack and NFC connectivity so absent in many terminals of this price.
As for hardware, we have a Snapdragon 665 Octa-core processor very solvent for its price and slightly higher than the 660 that the mid-range has used so much. Next to it we have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage that in this case can be expanded with a MicroSD card. We don't have more versions than this, so better have an SD card on hand. Its battery has also been updated to a capacity of 4000 mAh with 18W fast charge, without a doubt a standard in this price range that meets more than enough, with 2 days and more than 8h of screen.
Finally we talk about the software and its photography section. For the first case, we have practically the Android 9.0 stock experience, with little customization and very well carried out. We can assume that the update to Android 10 will arrive, since even the previous G will have it this 2020. Secondly we have 3 rear sensors and one front: 48 MP main, 16 MP wide angle focused on video recording, and a 5 MP depth sensor. Then at the front we have another 20.7 MP. The versatility is not very extensive but the result is perfectly at the level of its competition in practically all conditions.
- IPS screen 6.3 inches 2280 x 1080 pixels Snapdragon 665 Octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charge Built in metal and glass Very good performance cameras in all kinds of conditions Wide angle dedicated to recording Sonio video in stereo with dual speaker Software with little customization
- Little versatility of their cameras Somewhat inferior hardware to the new Chinese models Little basic storage
Oppo Reno 2Z
Oppo is also a manufacturer that in 2019 took out the jar of essences with terminals of brutal aesthetics, great price and very good benefits. And we also have material for the mid-range such as this 2Z reindeer, a variant of Reno 2 with a Pop-up camera and exquisite finishes in glass and metal available in 3 elegant colors and with very worked shine effects. Be careful, because the rear cameras are not out of the main plane, and the Chinese have placed a support ball to prevent the surface from rubbing the ground.
The truth is that it is a fairly large terminal, with 75.8 × 161.8 × 8.7 mm weighing 195 g due to its large 6.5-inch screen with AMOLED On-Cell technology. This gives us a resolution of 2340x1080p with 450 nits of brightness, supports HDR and excellent color calibration. In addition, its useful surface is 91%, with very tight edges, leaving only a small edge below. This setup comes with a really fast fingerprint reader and facial recognition inherited from OnePlus. Oppo always knows how to do great in this regard.
And also pay attention to the hardware, because it is just as beautiful inside, thanks to a MediaTek Helio P90 Octa-core processor at 2.2 GHz along with 8 GB of RAM with a performance typical of the high-end. As for storage, we have versions in 128 and 256 GB with MicroSD expansion in the third slot of the SIM tray. The battery of course, had to be 4000 mAh, like the vast majority of current terminals. It has 20W fast charge and a fairly good autonomy.
Regarding the software, we already have an update to Android 10 with ColorOS 7, a layer that is evolving quite fast and is one of the most customizable on the current scene. As well as the cameras, because we have 4 rear sensors and one front: 48 MP Sony IMX586 main, 8 MP to 119 ° wide angle, 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP monochrome sensor that performs the function of optical zoom x2, hybrid x5 and digital x20. To this we add the 16 MP front. We have great versatility and very good results in almost any condition, Oppo knows how to do it almost always very well.
- AMOLED screen 6.5 inches 2340 x 1080 pixels Helio P90 Octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM 128 and 256 GB storage with MicroSD expansion 4000 mAh battery with 20W fast charge Exquisite design, built in metal and glass Versatile cameras and very good performance in all kinds of conditions Mobile "all screen" Almost round for its price
- MediaTek processor somewhat less optimized in games Without IPx protection
Realme 5 PRO
We now continue with another terminal that is the best of the mid-range, and this Oppo sub-brand is another of the great revelations of the year in almost all price ranges. The 5 PRO is a fairly original terminal in design, mainly due to the gemstone-like effects made by its glass back in its two colors, blue-purple and sky-green. You will not see anything like it in this regard. Of course, the edge is plastic and not metal, but not everything can be had in life.
Let's start with its specifications, because we have a 6.3-inch screen with IPS technology and 2340x1080p resolution without HDR support but with a brightness of up to 450 nits. Very good image quality, although not surpassing AMOLED. And in it we have a drop type notch and a useful area of 83%, which translates into total terminal measurements of 74.2x157x8.9 mm weighing 184 g. As it usually happens in the mid-range, we have a 3.5 mm jack and a very fast rear fingerprint reader.
As for hardware, because this Realme 5 Pro has a Snapdragon 712 Octa-core with Adreno 616 and a RAM of 4, 6 and up to 8 GB DDR4. For storage we also have variants in 64 GB and 128 GB UFS 2.1 with capacity for expansion by MicroSD card. To this we must add a 4035 mAh battery with 20W fast charge that will give us an autonomy of about two days of normal use and about 7-8 h of screen. Undoubtedly a hardware that is very close to the Mi 9 Lite and the Oppo or practically on par.
The configuration of cameras that we have will be 4 rear sensors and 1 front: 48 MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, 8 MP and 119 ° wide angle, 2 MP depth sensor for portrait mode and sensor for macro at 4 cm from 2 MP. To this we add a 16 MP front sensor. The experience is much better than for example the Realme 3 PRO that we tested, and could be very close to the performance of the Mi 9T being the Realme cheaper, and a little below the Mi A3.
- IPS screen 6.5 inches 2340 x 1080 pixels Snapdragon 710 processor with 4/6 / 8GB of RAM 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4035 mAh battery with 20W fast charge Bold design Versatile cameras with notable improvement over others versions and at the level of the Xiaomi Of the best for this price
- No NFC No IPx protection Personalization layer with enough extra software installed Plastic edges
Redmi Note 8T
Another terminal that has been renewed before the end of the year has been the Redmi Note, now with three new versions: 8, 8T and 8 Pro of which we will see these last two right now. As on previous occasions, it is a terminal with many sales and a brutal quality / price ratio.
Let's focus on the 8T, where we have a somewhat more refined design than the previous version, now with glass at the back, although the plastic side edges with splash protection continue. The 3 rear sensors are kept on the left side and its notch has now been refined to a smaller drop type. We still have a remarkable lower frame, which gives us measures of 75.4 × 161.2 × 8.6 mm weighing 199 g, noting that it is glass. The color palette has been expanded, now available in blue, black, red and white.
In this case, we repeat with a 6.3-inch LTPS LCD technology screen and a resolution of 2340x1080p when it offers 84% coverage in NTSC and 409 dpi, which is quite good for the price of the terminal. We also have an excellent level of brightness and good contrast and viewing angles, so there is little to reproach, only the useful surface, which remains 80% scraped. We also do not lose the 3.5 mm Jack, and also NFC has been incorporated which is excellent news. We have a rear fingerprint reader and facial recognition at a very good level in both cases.
Regarding hardware, we have installed a Snapdragon 665 Octa-core processor, slightly higher than that of the Redmi Note 7, with a configuration of 3 and 4 GB of RAM along with 64 and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage expandable with MicroSD. Long should we choose 4/64 or 4/128, because 3 GB of RAM is very little. The battery that has been installed remains at 4000 mAh with excellent autonomy as we have seen in other similar terminals.
In the camera section we have no less than quadruple rear sensor: 48 MP main Samsung S5KGM1, 8 MP wide angle and 120 ° aperture, 2 MP macro sensor and 2 MP depth sensor. We lose the telephoto zoom lens, but we gain depth for portrait and macro mode. For selfies we have a 13 MP sensor that complies. The benefits are similar to the Realme 5 Pro and slightly lower than the Mi A3 but in general they are quite good. And finally in software we have MIUI 10 with update to MIUI 11 on Android 9 for now.
- 6.3 inch 2340 x 1080 pixels IPS screen Snapdragon 655 processor with 3 / 4GB of RAM 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charge 4 cameras back with good quality in general Good improvement over the Note 7 at the same price With NFC
- Without IPx protection Keeps plastic on the edges Somewhat fair sound 80% of useful surface
Redmi Note 8 PRO
This is indeed a guaranteed purchase success, just as the Redmi Note 7 or earlier was at the time, since for a price of around 220 euros we have some features close to Oppo's Reno 2Z, especially in performance and cameras, although it still has a worse screen than for example a Mi 9T.
Quickly reviewing the design, we have one much more refined than in the Note 7 Pro, with cameras in the central part next to the fingerprint reader, a smaller rubber type notch, more used frames and glass finishes at the back and plastic on the frames. The bold color palette features black, turquoise green, and white versions. We have IP65 resistance, that is, to splash water.
Its screen is LCD LTPS, a 6.53-inch IPS variant at a resolution of 2340x1080p that is similar to that of the Note 8T, although in this case its brightness increases to 500 nits. It also does not renounce facial recognition, NFC connectivity, 3.5mm Jack and storage expansion by MicroSD card. A fairly complete section on connectivity, and the screen gives us better benefits than normal IPS, so for this price we can not fault it.
Where perhaps certain skeptics will appear is in the hardware, since in this case we do not have Snapdragon, but a MediaTek Helios G90T Octa-core processor running at 2.05 GHz and with Mali-G76 GPU at 800 MHz. The RAM memory configuration and storage consists of 6 and 8 GB of RAM with 64/128 GB UFS 2.1. But in this case, having opted for a Mali GPU has been a success for gaming, since it practically behaves like the Snapdragon 730 with Adreno. The battery is something that has also been increased, with no less than 4500 mAh and 18W of fast charge, which will calmly give us 9 hours of screen and even more at medium brightness.
And as always, we finish with the cameras of which we will have 4 behind: main sensor of 64 MP Samsung Bright S5KGW1, wide angle of 8 MP at 120 or aperture, macro sensor at 2 cm and 2 MP and depth sensor of 2 MP. Definitely a fashionable setting in the mid-range to save the telephoto lens. But the highlight is that 64 MP camera that gives us incredible detail in photography in this mode and under daylight. Although it is true that at night it costs a little more, they are one step behind the Sony IMX. The front camera is 20 MP also with a very good performance in selfie and portrait.
- 6.3 inch 2340 x 1080 pixels IPS screen Helio G90T processor with Mali-G76 GPU and 6/8 GB of RAM 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charge 4 versatile cameras with main sensor 64 MP Very good quality / price ratio Design and color palette
- Keeps plastic on the edges Somewhat fair sound Somewhat fairer photos in low light / at night
Samsung Galaxy A70
Samsung also took the batteries with its mid-range terminals, and those mediocre J are far away. One of the best for the mid-range is the Galaxy A70, a smartphone that is finished in good quality plastic and in colors white, light blue and black that reflects light as it happens in a puddle of oil, as is, and quite peculiar. It is also a very large terminal, with 76.7 × 164.3 × 7.9 mm with a weight of 183 g due to not being glass.
Undoubtedly a fairly large phone with an AMOLED screen of the house of no less than 6.7 inches giving a resolution of 2400x1200p. It is a very good screen for the price at which we find it, since honeycombs of this technology and quality are not common, it is the advantage of being a manufacturer. Otherwise we have a drop type notch and a fairly good useful area of 86%. As biometric systems we have facial recognition and fingerprint reader on screen, both work well, but are somewhat slower than the competition.
In terms of hardware we also have good news, since a Snapdragon 675 Octa-core with Adreno 612 has been used along with an 8 or 6 GB RAM configuration, which comes in handy for gaming. Storage is pretty good too, with 128GB expandable with MicroSD cards. Its battery is 4500 mAh, something good and necessary to ensure two days of use with this large screen. It features 25W fast charging, which is even higher than the Galaxy S10. Connectivity consists of NFC for Samsung Pay, USB-C and 3.5mm Jack.
The configuration of cameras in this case is a little lower than the competition for being a terminal that came out in mid-2019. We have then: main sensor of 32 MP, wide angle of 8 MP and 123 o, depth sensor of 5 MP for portrait mode, and as a front sensor we have 32 MP. In good conditions we have a very good performance being Samsung, but it is true that in night mode it suffers more with a remarkable watercolor effect. In addition, the 8 MP wide angle falls a little short in detail. In any case we can record in 4K @ 30 FPS without stabilization, and the portrait mode is very good.
- 6.7-inch AMOLED screen 2400 x 1200 pixels Snapdragon 675 processor and 6/8 GB of RAM very good to play 128 GB storage with MicroSD expansion 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charge Good daytime photography result Good connectivity with NFC and 3.5mm Jack Screen Fingerprint Sensor and Face Recognition
- It is a phone finished in plastic It suffers in the night mode and wide angle Security system somewhat slow
Xiaomi Mi 9T
We are now getting into the manufacturer Xiaomi that undoubtedly has a notable presence in this medium and medium-premium range. And the Mi 9T is still one of the best in relation to quality / price along with the Mi A3, although Realme and Redmi have proposals that are very on par or somewhat better because they are somewhat newer models already. As for the design, it is identical to the Mi 9T Pro released after it, being almost the first “all screen” of the mid-range with Pop-up system in its front camera. In addition, its finishes are metal on the edges and glass on the back, available in Carbon Black, Electric Blue and Red.
Its measurements are 74x157x8.8 mm with a weight of 191 g, having a useful area of 86%, and it is still very good for what we see in this price range. It is a somewhat heavy mobile, mainly due to the use of glass and its 4000 mAh battery that will give us an autonomy of about two days with normal use almost assured. It also has 18W fast charging and good connectivity with 3.5mm Jack, USB-C and NFC.
Its screen consists of a 6.39-inch panel with Samsung's AMOLED technology with FHD + resolution at 2340x1080p, being one of its strengths for the price we have. It offers us a brightness of 600 nits maximum and a color coverage of 103% NTSC with support for HDR. We also have Android 10 for this smartphone, along with MIUI 11 with all its news and a clean interface. In addition, the consumption problems that appeared with the update and WhatsApp in some terminals have already been completely resolved.
In this way we get to the hardware, where we have a Snapdragon 730 Octa-core very successful for the price, 6 GB of RAM with 64 or 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage without the possibility of expansion. Therefore, we will not have game performance or fluidity problems. Security systems are also at a good level with a fairly fast on-screen footprint after its last update and facial recognition, although somewhat slow due to the Pop-up system.
It is also a purchase always recommended if we want a photography section with versatility and excellent results. In the rear area we have a triple camera configuration with: a 48 MP Sony IMX582 main sensor, 2MP telephoto lens with X2 zoom and 13 MP to 124 wide angle or, all of them with very good luminosity and quality in day and night conditions, and they also have a good stabilization for video. It only loosens a little against light, and due to the CPU we can record in 4K but at 30 FPS, or in slow motion at 960 FPS. And if we want an upgrade this free, we can install GCam since it is compatible because it has a Snapdragon CPU.

- 6.39-inch 2340 x 1080 pixels AMOLED display without notch with HDR and 600 nits of brightness Snapdragon 730 Octa-core processor with 6 GB of RAM 64/128 GB storage Long- lasting 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charge Upgrade to Android 10 imminent / available now Color palette and design Versatility of cameras and compatible with Google CAM Pop-up system with facial recognition and screen fingerprint reader
- Slightly slow facial recognition due to its retractable camera No IPx protection Does not record in 4K @ 60 FPS Non-expandable storage
Xiaomi Mi A3
The Mi A3 was one of the most anticipated Smartphone this year, and that certainly has not disappointed, since it is the best terminal in photography services for its price. It is also ideal for those who lean towards more compact terminals, since its measurements are 71.9 × 153.5 × 8.5 mm weighing only 174 g and with aluminum finishes on the sides and glass on the back, being available in black, blue and a very nice white. We can say that the design and finishes are among the best in the price range.
We continue with what is one of its most controversial sections and rightly so, the screen. In this case we have a 6.09-inch panel with Samsung's AMOLED technology, but it delivers a resolution of 1560x720p (HD +). And the truth is that if we come from more expensive terminals the resolution is quite noticeable and perhaps it is its main Achilles tendon. But on the other hand it will assure us a better autonomy. The quality of the colors is very good, with a brightness of 350 nits maximum and 103% NTSC. In it we have a drop type notch and a useful area of 82%.
This screen has been introduced mainly to put the fingerprint reader integrated into it, being one of its differential aspects for the price. It also works quite well, just like the standard Android facial recognition. Regarding the hardware, we have a Snapdragon 665 processor along with a 4 GB RAM and a storage configuration of 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 with expansion by MicroSD. All this moves thanks to a 4030 mAh battery with 18W fast charge with incredible autonomy thanks to the screen and chosen hardware.
Another of its main advantages that it inherits from its A series is that it has Android ONE 9.0, that is, without any layer of customization and with a completely clean and stock system. And the last advantage is undoubtedly its cameras which we have: 48 MP Sony IMX582 main sensor, 8 MP to 118 ° wide angle and 2 MP depth sensor for portrait mode, and the front camera is 32 MP. And we can say that it is one of the best cameras in its range both for color interpretation and for versatility and performance in adverse conditions.
- Snapdragon 665 Octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM 64/128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4030 mAh battery with an autonomy of the highest for its price Android ONE with 2 years of updates Color palette and design Of the best cameras in its price range On-screen fingerprint reader Very compact and lightweight
- Screen with 720p resolution, although 6.09-inch AMOLED Without IPx protection Without NFC
Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite
And coming from the previous terminal, this Mi 9 Lite the truth is that it is very similar in aesthetics, but being a younger brother of the Mi 9 shows and now we will see where. And watch out, because it is a very cheap terminal today and with excellent features. Starting with its aesthetics, we have a terminal with measures of 74.5 × 156.8 × 8.7 mm and weighing 179 g, this means that it is a little bigger for its screen, but it has a more optimized weight, which we will appreciate.. It comes in black, blue and white colors finished in glass and aluminum without IPx protection.
One of its differences is of course the screen, which in this case is of higher quality than the Mi A3. For this, a 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2340x1080p has been used. It can reach 600 nits of brightness, with HDR support and 103% NTSC coverage. The usable area increases up to 85% thanks to tight edges and a very small drop-type notch. In this case we have an NFC chip, a 3.5 mm jack and an in-screen fingerprint reader with similar performance to the rest of Xiaomi terminals and standard facial recognition but very fast.
The hardware is also an excellent asset for your purchase, since we have Snapdragon 710 with 6 GB of RAM and storage of 64 or 128 GB UFS 2.1 with the possibility of expansion by MicroSD. Without a doubt, a very good hardware for a price of around 220-240 euros. In addition, the battery is the same as the Mi A3, that is, 4030 mAh with 18W fast charge, with a not so huge autonomy, but that does last the two days without problems.
In this case we do not have Andoird ONE, but 9.0 with MIUI 10 customization layer, all of which can be upgraded to MIUI11 with Android 10. And last but not least, we have 3 rear and 1 front cameras: 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, 8MP wide angle, 2MP depth sensor and 32MP front camera. Unfortunately we don't have a telephoto lens, but the result, while not as good as the Mi A3 or Mi 9T, is still very good under favorable conditions. It is all a matter of software, because the power is there, and we can also record in 4K @ 30 FPS.
- 6.39-inch 2340 x 1080 pixels AMOLED screen without notch with HDR and 600 nits of brightness Snapdragon 710 Octa-core processor with 6 GB of RAM 64/128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4030 mAh battery with 18W fast charge Design Versatile camera On-screen fingerprint reader With NFC and 3.5mm Jack
- No IPx protection Cameras a little less sharp than other Xiaomi
