Freesync monitors will be cheaper than g

According to AMD, the first Gaming monitors compatible with the FreeSync standard will be launched on the market approximately $ 100 cheaper on average than NVIDIA monitors with G-Sync technology. Remember that they will be monitors that will not suffer from the tearing or stuttering effects.

Monitors that integrate FreeSync technology have a lower manufacturing cost than those equipped with G-Sync due to the fact that they do not require their own hardware modules, they only require hardware scaler which is an optional component within the DisplayPort 1.2a standard that does not require purchase of licenses. For a monitor to be compatible with NVIDIA's G-Sync technology, it must integrate its own G-Sync module or the parts that make it up, which are the FPA G-Sync chip, 768 MB of dedicated memory and the associated logic, so it increases considerably the cost of the monitor.

As it is a free standard FreeSync can be adapted in monitors that have G-Sync, so it is possible that we will see monitors that incorporate the two technologies at the same time since one does not interfere with the other.

G-Sync is expected to arrive before FreeSync, as Acer is about to launch its first G-Sync 4K monitor, the Acer XB280HK, next month for the Japanese market. The rest of the markets will have to wait a little longer.
