Intel is going for all with its new Coffee Lake processors and does not want to leave any sector of the market untapped, good proof of this is the return of the ultra-compact Skull Canyon computers that will be powered by these new and very powerful processors.

Powerful new Intel Skull Canyon with Coffee Lake

Intel intends to launch new Skull Canyon models taking advantage of all the benefits of its eighth generation Core processors. These new versions will be based on Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors of the -U series with a TDP of only 28W so they will be tremendously efficient with power consumption. The Core i3 will offer us a configuration of 4 cores and 4 threads while the Core i5 and Core i7 will offer us configurations of 4 cores and 8 threads of processing. These processors would come with very powerful integrated graphics and supported by an eDRAM L4 cache, so it is surely the most powerful integrated graphics on the market, at least until the arrival of the new AMD Raven Ridge processors.

Their arrival on the market is not scheduled until the second quarter of 2018, so there is still enough for us to enjoy them.
