A week ago we talked about the new ninth generation Intel Core processors that come without an integrated iGPU (KF Series), recently announced models to complement their offer with those that do come with integrated graphics in the same package.

Intel Core 'Coffee Lake' KF processors are priced the same as their siblings with integrated GPU

At that time, we were listing prices from some online stores, but Intel has revealed its own recommended prices (RCP), confirming that there will be no price difference between models with and without integrated graphics.

There will be no price difference

It stands to reason that customers with graphics cards don't need the built-in graphics from a processor during normal use, but they come in handy in the event of a graphics card failure or just to put together a discrete computer without a graphics card. Obviously, there is a very large market for CPUs without integrated graphics, as evidenced by the success of AMD's main Ryzen range, but we typically expect price compensation that reflects the lack of this graphics capability.

In this case, the price is exactly the same, so the question still stands . What is the advantage of betting on these new KF series processors? Personally I do not find sense. What do you think?
