Rx 5700 xt and rx 5700 will have the same memory configuration and rop

AMD officially unveiled the RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 graphics cards that will compete inch by inch with the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070.

The more details we know about both AMD graphics cards, the more we realize that they are very similar to each other.

In this regard, the $ 379 RX 5700 (not XT) has a completely unchanged memory configuration compared to the faster $ 449 RX 5700 XT. RX 5700 will have 8GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit memory bus and the same 14Gbps memory speed as the RX 5700 XT. With this speed and Bus, it is calculated that both graphics cards will have a memory bandwidth of 448 GB / s.

If we compare it with the RTX 2060, it only has 6 GB of memory, through a 192-bit wide memory bus. With a memory speed of 14 Gbps, this configuration reaches 336 GB / s.

Continuing with the similarities, we have 64 ROPs in both AMD models. The difference for the RX 5700 model is that they have reduced the Stream Processors to 2, 304 units. This also reduces the TMU count from 160 to 144. GPU engine speeds are also reduced with a base clock of 1465 MHz, 1625 MHz 'Gaming' clocks and a maximum of 1725 MHz. On average, about 200 MHz less than in the XT model.

The RX 5700 has a stipulated TDP of 180W, while the RX 5700 XT has a TDP of 224W. Knowing this, some custom models may use only an 8-pin connector to operate. However, this powerfully catches our attention since they are TDP above the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 models, graphics manufactured with a 12nm node, compared to Navi's 7nm.
