Ryzen 'Raven Ridge' processors belong to the APU series with GPU embedded in the same package and designed for low-power equipment. We've talked a lot about these processors in the past few months, but until now we had no clear indication of whether they would be released for desktop soon.

The new APU Ryzen "Raven Ridge" processors are very close

It was ASUS the manufacturer that made the mistake of anticipating the arrival of the Raven Ridge processors with the latest BIOS update of their AM4 motherboards (AMD X370 and B350 chipsets) , all those who have the AGESA 1.0.0.7 chip. This update was later withdrawn by ASUS as soon as portals began to realize the matter, but it is too late now.

Raven Ridge is the first generation of ZEN-based APU processors, which will bring many benefits for low-power equipment, HTPC computers or laptops. In fact, one of the first laptops to receive this new series is the ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC, but this would be just the beginning.

In February of next year, AMD will be introducing the second generation of APU processors called 'Pinnacle Ridge', which will be manufactured at 12nm.

The leak, thanks to the oversight of ASUS, indicates that these processors will soon be available for desktop computers and that the current motherboards will be updated through BIOS to be compatible with Ryzen 'Raven Ridge'.

We will keep you informed of all the news that may arise about these AMD processors.
