Micron breaks the record for ram frequencies down to 6024.4 mhz
Table of contents:
As we already know, the RAM memory market is one that is constantly on the move and world records are continually set. Recently, Micron has managed to break the record for DDR4 memory frequencies and the best thing is that it has done it with a Ryzen 5 3600X .
Micron
The RAM memory reached up to 6024.4 MHz, with its base frequency being only 4000 MHz . This means that they have managed to overclock it to 151%, a really impressive figure.
To achieve this milestone, they have had to keep almost the entire core of the experiment (CPU and RAM) below zero, as is normal. Here we show you a picture of the process where you can see ice formed by low temperatures and condensed air from the environment.
The accessories used have been an ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X at 2208.4 MHz . The idea is that by lowering the processor frequency, the RAM would stand out more, in addition to maintaining better stability in the equipment.
Regarding the protagonist of the news, the memory that achieved this milestone was an 8GB Ballistix Elite unit, which reached 6024.4 MHz at a key moment.
If we compare it with the previous record, it really is not that far away with 6016.4 MHz, but at Caesar what is Caesar .
Of course, both companies have echoed the feat. After all, teams of overclockers from both brands have been tirelessly tapping BIOS parameters , multipliers, and RAM times to achieve maximum frequencies.
Above you can see the summary of the results, but if you want to know the complete profile, you can see it on the CPU-Z page .
What do you think about this news about overclocking? Do you think you could overclock memories equal to or better than Micron ? Share your ideas in the comment box.
