Microsoft confirms that it works on "the definitive mobile device"

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, has confirmed in a recent interview that they are already preparing a new top-of-the-range phone. Nadella has commented on this in an interview with the Australian media Australian Financial Review where he promises that it will be "the definitive mobile device ."

Microsoft is already working on a new phone to compete with Apple

The CEO of Microsoft has wanted to be clear in regards to the new terminal, ensuring that they do not want to make a phone similar to an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy, but rather try to distance themselves from what has been seen so far.

We will continue to be in the phone market but not as defined by today's market leaders, but because of what we can do, which is the definitive mobile device.

Nadella has also been somewhat critical when she referred to Microsoft's old policies with Steve Ballmer as CEO and the changes that have emerged since he took command since 2014.

So we stopped doing things that were 'Me Too', albeit on a small scale, to focus on a specific set of customers who need a specific set of differentiating capabilities and to do a good job.

In this way Microsoft clears the doubts and validates the different rumors that indicated that they were working on a Surface Phone, this is no longer a secret.

Is the possibility of running x86 applications one of those 'differentiating' elements that Nadella refers to? This gets interesting.
