This large, variety of content makes it sometimes difficult to find exactly what you are looking for. The new Microsoft menu would come to simplify the task of searching and finding what they need. This new menu should better show the different content that users can find, as this menu is classified into four main areas: software and applications, entertainment, devices and offers.

Each category lists five different areas where you can find content in the store. For example, the Entertainment category includes video games, mixed reality, movies and TV, books, and Xbox. Software and apps promote Office, Windows 10, Edge browser extensions, and more.

It is not an innovative change, but it should help users find what they are looking for, or even find new content that they may not have seen before. Microsoft showed off some of these improvements in a Fluent Design-based session at Build 2018, which includes improvements to the horizontal navigation user interface and more.

Hopefully, these changes will come in the next major OS update, scheduled for fall.
