Microsoft releases cumulative update kb4020102 for windows 10
Table of contents:
Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for Windows 10, this time exclusively for systems with the Creators Update that appeared late last month.
The new cumulative update for Windows 10, version KB4020102, provides nothing more than bug fixes and performance improvements, as is often the case with any other similar update, in addition to increasing the operating system version to 15063.332.
What's New in Cumulative Update KB4020102
First off, the new update for Windows 10 provides two important fixes for Internet Explorer users, both of which are very important despite the fact that Microsoft Edge is now the default web browser for the operating system.
Specifically, Internet Explorer receives a patch for an issue where a policy called "Submit all sites not included in the Enterprise Mode site list to Microsoft Edge" was not respected when opening bookmarks. Additionally, the new update also addresses an IE 11 issue in which a non-administrator user was unable to install an ActiveX control.
Likewise, there is also a fix for a problem reported by several users who installed the Creators Update and that affected the audio output through external decoders.
On the other hand, Windows 10 Creators Update users received a fix for a bug where non-Unicode fonts did not display characters correctly in some cases.
You can take a look at all the release notes by clicking here, although all users should install the new update as soon as possible on their Windows 10 systems.
As for the issues that might come with this update, none are known at this time, but more information will likely come out as soon as users start installing it on their systems.
