Microsoft releases cumulative updates kb3147458 and kb3147461 for windows 10

Microsoft has released cumulative updates KB3147458 and KB3147461 for Windows 10 users today. These updates are targeted precisely for PCs running Windows 10 version 10240 (July 2015) and version 1511 (also known as the November Update).

Therefore, only users with stable versions of Windows 10 will be able to install them, and will not reach members of the Windows Insider program.

The new updates include improvements and bug fixes. Unfortunately, there are no new features.

KB3147458 update (operating system build 10586.281)

In this update, Microsoft has added quality improvements and security fixes, and has improved the reliability of Internet Explorer 11,.NET Framework, Microsoft Edge, Windows Update, Bluetooth connectivity, network connectivity, and mapping applications, among other things.

The company has also fixed several problems with playing the videos, with the USB inputs and Windows Explorer.

As pointed out in the official release notes, the new update KB3147458 corrects connectivity problems in which USB devices were not detected and the operating system had to be restarted.

Fixed some issues with visual voicemails on dual SIM phones, and other bugs with the lock screen.

What's New in Update KB3147461

Like the previous update, update KB3147461 includes reliability improvements for Windows Explorer, the Application Deployment Service, and the Microsoft Installer (MSI).

The company also improved notifications in the Start menu, as well as support for apps that worked with barcode scanners.

Among other things, a problem with resetting passwords in a domain has been fixed, and other additional problems with IE 11,.NET Framework and the Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle.
