After approximately a month of testing in its beta phase, the Android launcher Microsoft Launcher 5.0 reaches the general public. It is actually the same version that is offered on the beta program page in the Google Play Store.

Microsoft Launcher 5.0 is now available with some interesting news

Microsoft Launcher 5.0 presents a completely renewed Feed page and the expected Timeline integration. It now consists of three tabs: Glance, News, and the Timeline, which can be placed in any order the user prefers to best suit their preferences. The launcher works as you would expect, providing access to recent activities, such as documents or web pages, from all paired devices.

News is essentially the same as the widget that was previously part of the feed page, which you can customize to display topics of interest to you. Meanwhile, Glance retains most of the remaining functionality from previous versions, including built-in and custom widgets. The calendar on this page has also been redesigned, but the "to-do" section still connects to Wunderlist instead of Microsoft To-Do, and Microsoft says they're working on integrating with the latter.

If you have opted for the beta version at some point to get these features, but want to go back to the public version, you can do so by visiting this link and choosing to leave the beta program, on the other hand, if you want to stay ahead and join the beta program, enter here.
