It's been quite a few weeks since piracy began to be talked about on the Nintendo Switch, something that is one step closer to getting there than ever, with the launch of the Homebrew Launcher for the new video game console of the Japanese company.

You can now install Homebrew Launcher on the Nintendo Switch

The Homebrew Launcher has already been made available to Nintendo Switch users, so far it can only be installed in firmware 3.0.0 (included in Pokken Tournament) or lower, although it is expected that it will be available soon for version 3.0. 1 or higher thanks to two exploits, at the hardware level of the Tegra X1 processor and the Trustzone security engine of the ARM architecture, on which said processor is based.

The installation of the Homebrew Launcher is quite simple, since all you have to do is download the hbmenu.nro file, copy it to the root of an SD card and we can proceed with the console to install it, for this we will have to go to the network settings, modify the DNS to 104.236.106.125 manually, perform a connection test and press Install to install the Homebrew Launcher.

After this we just have to let the console work, if everything went well a message will appear on the screen showing that the installation has been carried out satisfactorily. After this, all you have to do is restart the console and do a connection test again.

Homebrew Launcher is the first step to be able to run unofficial applications on the Nintendo Switch, among them we could find a backup loader for the games and even emulators for other consoles such as Gamecube, N64 and many more since the Tegra X1 Soc has enough power for it.
