Gigabyte, one of the most prestigious manufacturers of motherboards worldwide, has shown its new top-of-the-range motherboard for the new Intel Skylake processors with LGA 1151 socket, it is the Gigabyte Z170 Gaming G1 that arrives with impressive technical characteristics once again demonstrating the good work of the firm that places it at the top.

The Gigabyte Z170 Gaming G1 Mounts an Intel LGA 1151 socket and a Z170 chipset to support future Blue Giant Skylake processors. An impressive 22-phase VRM power supply is responsible for delivering the power and electrical stability necessary for perfect processor operation and great overclocking possibilities. A 24-pin ATX connector and another 8-pin EPS connector are responsible for providing the necessary power.

A robust cooling system with heatpipes is responsible for keeping the temperatures of the VRM under control, it even includes a water chamber to connect it to a liquid cooling circuit in order to keep temperatures under control by applying large doses of overclocking.

Surrounding the socket we find four DDR4 DIMM slots that support a maximum of 64 GB of DDR4 3300 MHz memory in dual chanel configuration. Along with the four RAM slots we find buttons for on / off, reset and overclock functions.

We continue with the characteristics of the Gigabyte Z170 Gaming G1 and we find four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots that allow graphics configurations with up to four video cards for outstanding performance, it also has three PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots. In the storage section we see two M.2 slots (32 Gb / s), ten SATA III 6Gb / s ports and three SATA Express ports. There is no lack of two internal connectors for USB 3.0 ports and another two internal ports for USB 2.0.

Its specifications are completed with Dual BIOS, a PEG connector to provide more power to the expansion slots, high-quality audio Creative Sound Blaster ZxRi 120 + dB SNR, HDMI 2.0 video output, Killer Double Shot Pro X3 network, USB 3.1 Type -C and a seven-color LED lighting system.
