Motorola Moto G 2015 is one of the best quality / price terminals on the market today. Although it may not seem like it, but for two years now, Motorola has revolutionized the world of cheap smartphones with the launch of the Moto G, a smartphone with a simple design, but that had a performance equivalent to that of much more expensive devices. With this, the era in which you needed to invest a lot of money to have a cell phone that did not fail in everyday use is over.
The formula was successful and resulted in excellent sales, causing the company to repeat the dose in other categories. Since then, both the Moto X and Moto E lines have gained new generations, who also bet on the relationship between competitive prices and exclusive resources.
We thank Motorola for trusting the product for its analysis:
Technical characteristics Motorola Moto G 2015
Motorola Moto G 2015
The Motorola Moto G 2015 comes packed in a small cardboard box, simple and on its cover we see an image of the product with its purple characteristics. Once we open it we find inside:
- Motorola Moto G 2015. MicroUSB cable. Documentation.
The screen is still 5-inch IPS with HD resolution (720 x 1280) and Gorilla Glass 3, just like it was last year's Moto G. This results in a pixel density of 294 dpi, which is sufficient for almost all activities normally carried out with a smartphone. This resolution is very useful for functions such as surfing the internet, watching videos on YouTube, viewing photos or playing games. It is not something revolutionary or spectacular, but it is within what is expected for an apparatus of the type.
The design of the device is simple, but in each generation of Motorola it is improving a little more in the finish. In its 3rd generation, the Moto G comes with a textured rear, which is very pleasant to the touch. Despite being plastic, the finish definitely doesn't feel cheap, especially since the pieces are well fitted together.
The Moto G can be customized through Moto Maker, which allows you to change a series of details. Through this option you can choose whether the front is going to be white or black, and you can choose between 10 different colors for the back, place an inscription of up to 14 characters and even buy Motorola Shells. You only need to be very careful to place them well, so that the IP68 water resistance works. She allows the smartphone to be immersed in up to one meter of water for half an hour. This means that it can be used quietly in the rain, in the pool or even during the bath.
Motorola has no problem making smartphones a little thicker so as not to sacrifice autonomy, and that doesn't change with the Moto G. However, its curved back guarantees that the footprint is still firm and comfortable. The only problem is that it can be difficult to use with one hand, especially if you have small hands.
Operating system and interface
As always, the company hardly surprised in the operating system, which is Android Lollipop 5.1. The only changes are to put your own excellent apps. The first known is Motorola Migration, which allows you to transfer files from your old phone to the new one. Other changes are the smart screen, which shows notifications without having to unlock the screen, and Moto Assist, which helps the user with the settings for different times of the day. To complete, all models include 4G internet and are dual-SIM.
As well as the 2nd Generation Moto X versions with 4G internet, the Moto G 2015 also incorporates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, showing that Motorola relies heavily on the chip and for its low manufacturing cost. And rightly so, as it offers the same good performance in everyday tasks on the Moto G, despite the larger screen and resolution. The operating system is Android Lollipop 5.1.
The Snapdragon 410 is a slightly superior option to the Snapdragon 400 used in devices like the Xperia M2 Aqua, the LG G3 Beat, and the Moto G 2014 itself.
Battery
On the autonomy side, the battery has gained a significant improvement over last year's Moto G. Now it has 2470 mAh, 400 mAh more than the previous generation. It lasts until the end of a day of intense use quietly, and can last up to a day and a half with very light use.
Camera
Motorola is definitely not known for having one of the best cameras. But the company has made a good effort to change that with the new Motorola Moto G 2015. Now it has a 13-megapixel rear camera (compared to 8 megapixels from the previous generation), and a 5-megapixel front camera (before it was 2 megapixels).
Also, the flash is now dual-LED, which aids in lighting in night photos. Opening the camera by simply shaking the phone twice quickly has also become Motorola's trademark. This alone would already be the fastest process compared to the other devices. However, the Moto G 2015 has received software improvements that make the camera application connect very quickly. With this, it really is very difficult to lose a photo.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Motorola Moto Maxx announcedIn good lighting situations the camera is very satisfactory and becomes capable of taking excellent quality photos. Its high resolution also allows you to use a little more digital zoom without losing much quality. And the improvements of the front camera will be very welcome for those who like selfies, which are now much clearer. The problem is found in situations where lighting is not very favorable. There, the old problems of grainy, low-quality images return.

Final words and conclusion
Motorola adds new resources, which end up justifying the increase in price. In the case of the new generation of the device, improvements in design and IPX7 water resistance are excellent arguments to buy the Motorola Moto G 2015.
In addition, the excellent camera (for the segment) and the good battery life are also very nice news for the line. Pure traditional Android and Motorola's own applications are also other points in favor of the device.
However, it still has a few details that take it away from high-end devices. Starting with the design that, despite having improved a lot, still uses a lot of plastic. Not to mention that the smartphone is considerably thicker than that of its main competitors.
In this model, Motorola had the luxury of putting some interesting resources, such as IP68 water resistance, something that we only see in much more expensive terminals. Where can I buy it? Currently you can buy it on amazon for a price of 159 euros, you can click below to see its current price, so we recommend its purchase.
