MSI today announced the launch of a new graphics card based on the Vega architecture, this time we are dealing with a semi-custom Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost card as it uses the reference PCB and a heatsink created by MSI.

New MSI Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost card

The new MSI Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost uses a heatsink created by MSI that is based on a turbine design just like the AMD reference card, this design allows to more efficiently expel the heat generated outside the equipment. A heatsink with a copper base is used to absorb the heat generated by Vega silicon in a very efficient way. This allows the card to come with a base frequency of 1272 MHz that goes up to 1575 MHz under turbo mode to improve performance. At the back there is an aluminum backplate that helps to increase rigidity and protects the delicate components of the PCB.
