Introduced this year at the Computex event, MSI's new range of Vortex G25 desktops features the eighth generation of Intel Core i7 processors and a Z370 chipset motherboard.

According to MSI, this hardware combination results in 40% higher performance compared to the previous generation of i7 processors and chipsets. On the other hand, MSI's Cooler Boost Titan, a cooling module that provides eight heatsinks and two Whirlwind fans, will take care of cooling down the CPU and GPU.

Vortex G25 range includes 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 processors and Intel Z370 chipsets

The Vortex G25 range is available in two different models, the MSI Vortex G25 8RE and the Vortex G25 8RD. Both feature eighth-generation Intel Core i7-8700 processors, an Intel Z370 chipset, DDR4-2400 memories up to 64GB, a front panel with a connector for virtual reality headsets and HDMI, and two USB 3.0 ports. All of this comes in a case that measures just 279 x 43 x 331 mm and weighs 2.5 kg.

Vortex G25 range PCs can be placed vertically on the desktop, horizontally or even mounted on the back of the monitor.

The Vortex G25 8RD model can come with the 6GB version of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, while the connectivity options are Intel GB Lan, 802.11 AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. This system comes with a 230W power adapter.

On the other hand, the Vortex G25 8RE incorporates an 8GB GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, Killer DoubleShot Pro network card and Bluetooth 4.2. The power adapter for this system is 330W.

As for the prices and availability of these new PCs, at the moment MSI has not officially revealed them.
