As we have seen Nvidia has announced its new 3GB GTX 1060 and the first custom models of the brands are already coming out, this time we want to show you the new MSI GTX 1060 Armor and Gaming X that are twin to their 6GB versions.

MSI GTX 1060 Armor and 3GB Gaming X

Apart from the reduction of GDDR5 memory to 3GB, its specifications have also been revised. The stock frequency of the new Nvidia Pascal chip has runs at 1506 MHz while in Turbo it oscillates at 1733 MHz. That is, we are facing a drop of 20 to 25% performance but its price will be reduced to 219 euros (199 euros in the USA). Will it really hit this price or will we notice the typical rise in the launch of a new product?

The first model to be surveyed is the MSI GTX 1060 Armor 3GB with a dual fan heatsink, an 8-pin power connection, a base frequency of 1506 Mhz with turbo boost up to 1708 Mhz and the rear connections: DVI, two HDMI and two DisplayPORT.

Its TDP as expected is 120W and lacks backplate, so it loses some aesthetics. Without a doubt it will be one of the cheapest models from the manufacturer.

The MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X version of 3GB will be its flagship in this new review with two pieces of 90mm TORX 2.0 fans. Its frequency is much higher when having 1594 MHz of base and 1746 MHz with the turbo running. This version will have a brushed aluminum backplate and surely an LED lighting system.

The MSI GTX 1060 3GT OC version of 3GB will come with a somewhat more compact heatsink and only three rear connections: DVI, DisplayPort and an HDMI . Among its characteristics we find 1544 MHz base and 1759 MHz with Turbo. It really surprises us that it comes so quickly and surely its price is quite low compared to the two previous models.
