Talking about the MSI Lightning series is talking about graphics cards of the highest quality and the best features on the market. The GTX 980Ti Lightning has been rumored for a few weeks now and we finally know its specifications.
The MSI GTX 980Ti Lightning is based on a fully customized 10-layer PCB on top of which is a powerful 15-phase power VRM that will ensure the power and stability necessary to achieve high levels of overclocking. For its power supply, it has two 8-pin connectors and a third 6-pin connector, again to ensure that it does not run out of power.
As for cooling, there is no shortage of a large TriFrozr heatsink with five copper heatpipes up to 10mm thick. Next to the aluminum radiator are three 100mm fans that are responsible for generating the necessary air flow.
All this at the service of the GM200 GPU consisting of 2816 CUDA Cores, 176 TMUs and 96 ROPS at frequencies of 1203/1303 MHz and 6 GB of VRAM GDDR5 with a 384-bit interface and a frequency of 7.10 GHz.
The rest of the features include dual BIOS, voltage measurement points, the GPU Reactor module, a backplate and components from the Military Class 4 category.
