MSI has officially launched two new GPUs in its Geforce GTX 1650 range, adding a bit of low-profile graphics performance to the mix with both benchmark and overclocking models.

MSI Launches Two New GTX 1650 Graphics Cards in LP Format

The GTX 1650 is currently the most modest GPU in the Turing architecture, which has a performance close to that of a GTX 1060.

With these graphics cards, MSI has found the best use for Nvidia's GTX 1650 by packing its low-power performance into a small, low-profile form factor, which is half-height PCIe. This size allows this graphics card to fit into a wide range of OEM PCs, allowing them to be updated to become 'gaming' computers. The GTX 1650's low TDP also helps MSI achieve this goal.

The MSI GTX 1650 'Low Profile' (LP) offerings come with the reference clock speeds, which is 1485MHz / 1665MHz Base and Turbo. The overclocked model raises the maximum frequencies by about 30MHz (A testimonial rise). Both versions have DVI-D and HDMI 2.0b, unfortunately without DisplayPort connectivity. The graphics card can support full-height and half-height PCIe systems with the included graphics card brackets.

MSI's 'Low Profile' GTX 1650 graphics cards are expected to be commercially available soon, priced similarly to existing GTX1650 graphics cards. We will keep you informed.
